• Voidskimmer

This is a scouting vehicle used by Sha Rephart to travel on the Voidplane. The outer rim provides balance as well as a pathway to funnel air through the internal propeller engines. You can see one of the intake/exhaust openings near the front. The engines on this craft can work in reverse, and can independently change the output of the right and left sides in order to turn.

On the top deck is the navigation post, with simple directional controls (a forward/reverse and a turning dial) and a “beacon compass”. Two desks beside the post are primarily used by the navigator to work with maps. Beacon compasses utilize beacon crystals placed in various areas around Sha Rephart’s territory. When a small piece is extracted from these magical crystals, the shard is attracted to the original like a magnet, except that this pull will not lose strength for hundreds of kilometers. The compass contains multiple shards of beacon crystals that navigators use to triangulate their position on the Voidplane.

  • Ayra Katrin Library Update

In this updated image of the front, you can see a change to the front tower face. The national Seven-Star symbol has been moved up, and beneath it is a large circular window bearing a new symbol for the Ayra Katrin. This is the “major sigil”, a more detailed design used for big things like this window.

Also new in this update are the triangular holes to the sides of the hexagon. In these openings are the residences, where many Ayra Katrin live on site. When the library was constructed, the “ground floor” was two floors below the one you see. They artificially built up the hill, essentially burying two floors. There is a commons area hidden underneath the hexagon.

This image shows an older version of the main hall on the left, and the latest updates on the right. The biggest changes are smoother arches, some new crystal lamps, improved roof windows, and an altered stage/podium under the dragon wall sculpture. On the middle of the podium is the “minor sigil” of the Ayra Katrin. It’s kind of hard to see in this picture, but expect to see an update relating to these symbols soon.

  • Sharpheart Island

This is some early work on the design of Sha Rephart’s main island, colloquially known as Sharpheart Island.

At the center is the national capital, where the council meets to make laws and discuss important issues. It is suspended in a small area of open void.
Surrounding the capital is Stark Fortress. It is the nation’s military headquarters and the last point of defense if the city gets overrun.
The hexagons topped with light blue are the Districts, where people go for socializing, entertainment, dining, and other daily activities. The blue tops are projections which display a simulated sky on their inside surface.
Near the Districts are the main residential areas. The rows of hexagonal buildings are the apartment complexes that the majority of the people call home.
A recent expansion has been built on the southeast end. I haven’t gotten around to putting stuff in it, for now it’s just marked with a darker blue hexagon. It might eventually contain an extra District that has a night theme.
The two hexagons on the west and east sides are the city docks. The west dock is primarily for military use, as it faces the Poison Pool island, source of Sha Rephart’s enemy called the Hessai.
The area between the Gaps (the four wing-like openings to the west and east) are the industrial sectors. (Haven’t gotten around to putting buildings in there, yet.)
At the bottom of the picture is the city beach. The circular structure on the right is Fountain Park. At the top left is a pyramid-shaped structure that’s yet to be fleshed out.

This is the obverse side of the island. The reverse side of the island is dominated by farmland.

  • Sharpheart Logo

The purple backdrop of the logo represents the lens shape of the Voidplane Universe where Sharpheart takes place. The symbol in the lower left is the emblem of Sha Rephart, the nation that is central to the story.
